    Június 14-én született Karl Landsteiner Nobel díjas orvos, aki 1901-ben fedezte fel az emberi vércsoportokat. Az ő tiszteletére ma van a Véradók Világnapja. 2004 óta Magyarországon is ünnepeljük ezt a napot, Pécsen külön ajándékokat kaptak a segíteni akarók a Vérellátó Központban.
