A közösségépítés a célja annak a foglalkozásnak, ahol a mézeskalács készítését sajátítják el a résztvevők. Az első ilyen sütemény feltehetően mézből, lisztből, vízből kevert kása volt, amelyet forró kövön szárítottak, időszámításunk előtt 3 évezreddel pedig különböző agyagformák segítségével már alakot is adtak a süteményeknek. A világ fejlődésével pedig folyamatosan újabb eszközökkel bővül a szaggatás, díszítés technikája. A dombóvári szakkör résztvevői igazi közösségé formálódtak már az eltelt 11 foglalkozás alatt.
