    Szekszárd Megyei Jogú Város Önkormányzata 2005-ben indította el a közcsatornával nem rendelkező, szociálisan rászoruló ingatlantulajdonosok részére a rákötést segítő pályázati programját. Az önkormányzat ennek segítségével támogatni kívánja azon fogyasztókat, akiknek az ingatlana előtt közcsatorna húzódik ugyan, de arra nem sikerült még rákötniük. Az önkormányzat 2024. évi költségvetésében 2,5 millió forint szerepel ezen cél megvalósítására, amiből a támogatás mértéke ingatlanonként legfeljebb a bekerülési költség 70%-a lehet.
