A Székely Szabadság Napja alkalmából Székelyföldön és szerte a világban a magyar közösségek nyilvános összejövetelekkel nyilvánítják ki együttérzésüket a székelység érdekeit megfogalmazó megmozdulások mellett. Idén sem volt ez másként, Pakson az Erdélyi Magyarok Tolna Megyei Egyesülete és a Bukovinai Székelyek Országos Szövetsége és tagegyesületeik ünnepeltek közösen, kifejezve támogatásukat a székelység önrendelkezési törekvései iránt.
Ma Magdolna névnapja van.
