Időközi önkormányzati választást tartottak Iregszemcsén, miután a képviselő-testület tavaly ősszel feloszlatta magát. A hat független jelölt közül, a 2019-ben is megválasztott Tóth Szabolcsot kapta a legtöbb szavazatot. A helyiek több mint 50 százalékos részvétellel vettek részt a voksoláson. Az Országos Választási Iroda adatai szerint Tóth Szabolcs a szavazatok 42,14 százalékát kapta, így 2024 őszéig ő és a 18 jelölt közül megválasztott 6 képviselő dönt majd a település ügyeiben.
