A magyarországi németek elhurcolásának emléknapja 2012 óta január 19-e. A komlói Német Nemzetiségi Önkormányzat minden évben ezen a napon az ősök tiszteletére koszorúzással egybekötött megemlékezést tart a Német Klubban. Az idei rendezvény különlegessége volt, hogy a koszorúzást követően dr. Márkus Beáta történész, személyes történeteken keresztül mutatta be a résztvevőknek a magyarországi német kisebbség II. világháború utáni elűzetését, elhurcolását.
Ma Natália névnapja van.
