Az emlékévhez kapcsolódva Petőfi 200 projektnapot tartottak a pécsi Cserepka Iskolában, amelynek keretében nem hagyományos tanórai keretek között elevenítették fel a költő alakját. A projektnapon, 30 perces blokkokban, forgószínpadszerűen különböző helyszíneket látogathattak a tanulócsoportok. A Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeumból pedig három múzeumpedagógus a János vitéz elbeszélő költeményt mutatta be a gyerekeknek játékos formában.
