102 éve született Mészöly Miklós Kossuth-díjas magyar író, a Digitális Irodalmi Akadémia alapító tagja. Emlékére minden esztendóben rendezvénysorozat szerveződik Szekszárdon, versmondó versennyel, és a január 23.-i születésnapon a Mészöly nap eseménysorozatával. Az emléknap szervezője és gondozója az iró nevét viselő egyesület mellett számos szekszárdi intézmény is. A születésnapon adják át a Mészöly díjat is, mely a mai magyar irodalom egyik legnagyobb presztízsű elismerése.
