Hamarosan elkezdődik a bátaszéki piactér felújítása. A munka közel 150 millió forintba kerül majd, amiből több, mint 52 milliót a helyi önkormányzat finanszíroz. A pénzből új épületet alakítanak ki vizesblokkokkal, új térburkolatot és új kialakítású parkolókat kap a teljes terület, mobil asztalok, padok, kamerarendszer, parkosítás is a beruházás része. A kivitelezés még idén megkezdődik.
